I'd love to (around the same rank as you), but I can't really do anything until Sunday, as I'm in a drama production at my school atm.

Looking forward to drinking the endless tears of trashy Zed/Fizz/Akali players for weeks to come.

I'm trying to download Patch 5.3 and it seems to be stuck at 33%, endlessly scanning files.

Keep restarting the patcher when it does that until it works. I had to try several times.

Could be worse. Could be Veigar.

Seriously, poor Veig got nerfed to below pre-rework Eve levels of awful. You are actually a hindrance to your team if you pick him. He's that bad.

It is incredibly satisfying to jump on Malz with Jax's counterstrike up and cancel his ult on you by yourself.

Surprised I haven't even posted in this thread, but I picked the game up about 5 months back (still working on getting up to level 30), and gotta say, loving Thresh. Any suggestions about him? (I've been getting mixed messages from various sources about what to do with him and wanted extra feedback)

(Also, account is XanKortal, as if I'd choose another :P )

Re: League of Legends

So I was in a game today facing Diana in lane, playing my main, Xerath. She was horrible at dodging and was pushed out of lane at level 2 easily. She then came back and tower dived me (a Xerath, two levels above her, with Barrier) and not only burned Ignite but died. This was before I even backed once, so I just got free farm.

She then starts blaming the enemy Shaco (aka her jungler) and asks us to report him for unskilled, as he wasn't ganking or doing anything like that (read: two lanes were pushed and he knew my lane was warded and that I would kill him if he came there). I ignored it the first time, but she keeps at it and eventually I just chew her out because she is a terrible, terrible player (dove like an idiot, couldn't dodge for crap, etc.) and has no right to criticize his [actually pretty decent] play. Her response? That I was "only a Silver" and so my opinion was invalid and that Shaco was the problem.

Diana was Bronze III. I was Silver III. Shaco was Bronze I. GG, scrublord.

Gotta love bronzie logic.

Xan: I don't play Thresh much myself, so take advice from me with a grain of salt. I take my Flay (E) first for lane, if I'm not going for an invade. It's not quite as powerful CC as the hook, but it's more reliable and the charged auto is good for taking an occasional swing at the enemy champions, or to last hit with if you buy the Relic Shield. At level 2, take the Death Sentence (Q) and then you can Flay them, making your Q much more likely to hit.
Keep in mind that although your passive gives you armor, you don't gain armor naturally like other champions. Unless you're collecting lots and lots of souls, you'll actually have less armor than most of the champions around you until late game after they've stopped getting it from levelling up.
I've been yelled at before for throwing out my Q before setting the lantern for my jungler. So maybe put the lantern down first when they come to gank.
Get used to the mechanic of flash-flaying. It's a bit difficult to flash, reposition your cursor correctly, then flay them back towards you (at least, for me), but it's a very powerful engagement tool on unsuspecting opponents. Also, learn the timing for flaying back Leona when she uses her Zenith Blade to engage. Super frustrating for a Leona to play against someone who can do that.

That game.

That.

Frickin'.

Game.

My jaw literally dropped multiple times during that game. I mean, Yorick (A YORICK) ults a Nunu to allow for a Consume steal. Just.....wow.

So Guardian of the Sands Xerath is a thing. They improved his ult VFX and somehow how made his Q charging sound even more awesome. They also gave him frickin' wings on his arms. As a Xerath main, it pleases me greatly to now look better than everyone else instead of just being better than everyone else.

Improved his ult VFX? Sweet. I never really did like his new ult, it doesn't really feel very satisfying to use. I mean, sure, hitting with it is neat and feels good, but the ability itself feels pretty...eh. The old one was, like, vjjjjjjjjjBOOM! 3 times! Now it's just click. Click. Click. With a little bitty projectile flying from you and barely looking like it makes an impact at all.

I guess the new Guardian of the Sands skins are alright, but I'm more excited about Arclight Vayne. That's my favorite skin series. Too bad I'm terrible at all the champs that have it.

Also, it's really hard to find a Team Builder group willing to take a Yasuo.

For one, most Yasuo players are terrible. In addition, Yasuo in general isn't exactly a great champion atm, so you have to be pretty good with him to do well.

Yasuo seems like he's in a fine place to me. I did manage to get in a few games with him yesterday, and one of them I was quite instrumental in winning a 3v5 teamfight where our ADC was disconnected and our support was dead, even though they were focusing me. Of course, a lot of that was also the 3-person Vi knockup into Last Breath, but you know...

Incidentally, Yasuo mirror matches are super intense. I won that lane pretty handily.

Idea that sounds neat at first but would probalby be really bad in practice:

New game mode: Paranoia.
Functions as Nocturne's ultimate, but without the vision range reduction. And towers/wards may or may not share vision (need those pinks or the stealth champs would be stupidly powerful in that mode).
